ဟိုးအရင်တုန်းက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှာ လူတွေဟာ လူရှေ့သူရှေ့ မရှောင် ဆေးလိပ်သောက်တာတွေ့ဘူးတယ်။ မကြိုက်တဲ့လူရှိရင် ပိုလို့တောင် သောက်သေး။ လူအများကြီးတွေရှိတဲ့နေရာ ၊ လူစု လူဝေးတွေ ရှိတဲ့ နေရာ ၊ ကလေးတွေ ရှိတဲ့ နေရာမျိုးတွေမှာ ဆေးလိပ်မသောက်သင့်ဘူးဗျ။ အခုတော့ အရင်ကလောက် မဆိုးတော့ဘူး။ ဒါပေမယ့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရဲ့ ပုံစံကို PAC ဆိုင်တွေမှာ တွေ့ရတတ်တယ်။ ဘာလဲဆိုတော့ IDM တွေ သုံးတာပဲ။ ကျွန်တော်လည်း သုံးခဲ့ဘူးတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် အခုအချိန်မှာ မှားမှန်းသိသွားပြီ။ ကျွန်တော့် တစ်ယောက်တည်းအတွက် လူအများကြီး စတေးရတဲ့အလုပ်ပဲဗျ။ ကိုယ်ကျိုး ကြည့်တဲ့အလုပ်ပဲ။ IDM သုံးလိုက်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ကိုယ့်မှာ connection တွေ အပြည့်နဲ့ download ချလိုက်ပေမယ့် အခြား စက်တွေကတော့ တော်တော်လေးကို နှေးကျသွားတယ်။ ကိုယ်တစ်ယောက်တည်း ပျော်နိုင်ပေမယ့် အခြားလူတွေ စိတ်ပျက်နေရတယ်။ PAC ဆိုင်တွေမှာ IDM တွေ သုံးတာက တကယ့်ကို ကိုယ်ကျိုးသမား ဆိုင်ကို ဒုက္ခပေးတဲ့ကောင်တွေလို့ ဆိုနိုင်တယ်ဗျ။ တစ်ယောက်ယောက်ဆိုင်မှာ သုံးတဲ့လူတွေက website ကြည့်တာ gmail စစ်တာတွေ လုပ်လို့မရတော့ဘူး။ အရမ်းနှေးသွားပြီ။ နှေးသွားတော့ ဆက်မသုံးဘူး။ ဆက်မသုံးတော့ ဆိုင်ပိုင်ရှင် ထိခိုက်တယ်။ IDM သုံးခြင်းဟာလည်း သူများ ထမင်းအိုး ခွဲတာနဲ့လည်း အတူတူပဲလို့ထင်တယ်။ IDM မှမဟုတ်ဘူး download manager တွေ မသုံးသင့်ဘူးလို့ထင်တယ်။ သုံးမယ်ဆိုရင်လည်း ကိုယ် ဆိုင်မှာ တစ်ယောက်တည်းရှိတဲ့အချိန် သုံးတာ ကိစ္စမရှိပေမယ့် လူ ၂ ယောက် သို့မဟုတ် ၂ ယောက်နဲ့ အထက် အချိန်တွေမှာတော့ မသုံးသင့်ဘူးဗျ ။ download ဆွဲစရာ အရမ်းများနေရင်လည်း ဆိုင်ကိုပြောပြီး ဆွဲထားခိုင်းသင့်တယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် နောက်ပိုင်း ဆိုင်တွေဟာ bandwidth ကို limit လုပ်လာတယ်။ ကျွန်တော်ကတော့ bandwidth ကို limit လုပ်တာ မကြိုက်ဘူး။ ဘာဖြစ်လို့လည်းဆို တစ်ယောက်က VZO သုံးနေတယ်။ နောက်တစ်ယောက်က mirc ဝင်နေတယ်။ limit သာ လုပ်ထားရင် VZO သမားကလည်း bandwidth လိုသလောက်ရမှာမဟုတ်ဘူး။ mirc သမားကလည်း bandwidth တွေ ပိုနေတာပဲရှိတယ်။ အဲဒါကြောင့် bandwidth လုပ်တာကို မကြိုက်တာ။ သာမန် firefox နဲ့ download ဆွဲတာတောင် bandwidth limit လုပ်ထားရင် ဘာမှကို မတက်တာ။ တော်တော်စိတ်ပျက်ဖို့ကောင်းတယ် ။ အကောင်းဆုံးက သူ့အတွက်လည်း အဆင်ပြေ ကိုယ့်အတွက်လည်း အဆင်ပြေအောင် browser က download လေးနဲ့ ဆွဲတာပဲ ကောင်းတယ်လို့ ကျွန်တော်ထင်တယ်။
But one problem is that the browsers’ built-in downloaders ain’t support resumability well even if they say so. Sometimes we might have important files to download as soon as possible. (Like drivers, etc.). I also did so but I stopped when I realized it robs others’ bandwidth a lot. So, the best solution to prevent this is that PAC set the privilege of add/remove programs disabled in every system (even though it won’t help if the user use portable version) and provide another service like downloading 10MB – ???ks and download the requested items at night when the shop is closed.
Yeah! You’re absolutely right! I also used to download with IDM or other download managers. But now, I only use DownThemAll (for resumability) with only 2 parallel connections. At nights, I change to max concurrent downloads. :D
