gedit တွင် ပုံမှန်အားဖြင့် notepad++ လို line number များမပါဘူး။ နောက်ပြီးတော့ current line ကိုလည်း highlight မလုပ်ပေးပါဘူး။ နောက်ပြီး ပြဿနာတစ်ခုက coding ရေးတဲ့အခါမှာ notepad++ မှာဆိုရင် { နဲ့ စရင် } ကိုပါ highlight လုပ်ပေးတယ်။ gedit မှာ မရလို့ စိတ်ပျက်နေတာ။ ဒီနေ့ gedit menu က edit > Preferences မှာ

View Tab တွင် checkbox အားလုံး check လုပ်လိုက်ပါ။ ဒါပေမယ့် Right Margin က Display right margin ဆိုတဲ့ checkbox ကိုတော့ check မလုပ်ခဲ့ပါနဲ့။ ပြီးရင် Font & Color Tab မှာ နှစ်သက်ရာ Color Scheme ကို ရွေးနိုင်တယ်။ Kate ကတော့ အကောင်းဆုံးပဲလို့ ထင်တယ်။ စာရိုက်တာကော coding ပိုင်းအတွက်ဆို kate က ပိုသင့်တော်တယ်။ နောက်ပြီး စာရိုက်တာကို ရှင်းရှင်းလင်းလင်းဖြစ်ချင်ရင်တော့ View > Toolbar ကို uncheck လုပ်လိုက်ပေါ့။ မြင်ကွင်းကျယ်ကျယ်နဲ့ coding ရေးရတာကော စာရိုက်ရတာပါ အတွက်ကောင်းတယ်ဗျ။ အခု gedit မှာ လိုတာကတော့ notepad++ လိုမျိုး ctrl+space လုပ်လိုက်ရင် code list (Function completion) မကျလာတာပဲ ကျန်တော့တယ်။ ရမယ်လို့ ထင်တာပဲ။ ရှာကြည့်လိုက်အုံးမယ်။ gedit plugin တွေကိုတော့ http://live.gnome.org/Gedit/Plugins မှာရနိုင်ပါတယ်ဗျာ။
